Q: Just what do the odds 2:1, 5:2, 6:1, etc. mean?
A: The first number is the payout, the second is the money required to
earn that payout. So for Odds of 5:2 you'll get 5 gold for every 2 gold bet, or a
bet of 10 gold would earn you 25 gold back. The odds are before the house
takes their 5% cut of the money.
Q: The House gets 5%? Why?
A: The house always wins and with VQ2 the winner of the fight
will get much of the gold the house takes. For example if two Grand Masters
go at it in a betable fight and 1000 gold is bet on the fight the winner
would get the normal 100 gold for winning plus 50 gold as a betting bonus.
Q: I won a Bet, but didn't get what I should?
A: You did, keep in mind the house only takes your money if you lose the bet.
So if you bet 10 gold with 3:2 odds you'll be informed you won 5 gold. You actually
won 15 gold, but paid 10 gold to get it, your net gain is 5 gold and that is what
gets displayed.
Q: I placed a bet, but never won or lost it, why?
A: Bets can be cancelled for a number of reasons. In order for bets to be
valid in the first place at least one bet must be placed on each combatant.
- All Bets On a Single Side
- Odds Above 10:9
- Tie in the Fight
- Forfeit in the Fight
Q: How do I know which fights are bettable?
A: When a bet opens up it will display in the chat area
"Bets Open for 15 Seconds". Also, bettable fights will have a (b) displayed
beside them in the lower right of your client.
Q: How much can I bet on a fight?
A: That depends on your own super level and the super levels of the people
fighting. Your own bet limit is ten gold per super level, so a level 1:0 player could bet
up to 10 gold, and a level 10:0 player could bet 100 gold. 100 gold is the most you
can bet.
The other limit is the super levels of the fighters involved. Add the two
and multiply by 5 to get the limit. For example if a level 4:0 player is fighting
a level 3:0 player the max bet would be 35 gold.
