Magic Elements
The magic system in Vagabond’s Quest 2 uses the four elements of air, earth, fire and water, as well as the forces of light and darkness. The elements of fire and water, air and earth, and light and darkness are natural opposites and their forces oppose each other. The other elements, however, can combine to form even more powerful magic. In some rare circumstances all six forces can combine; the result is Nexus magic, magic in its deadliest form. Below are graphics showing how the elements combine. For example: Earth and Fire combine to form Dragon magic; combine Dragon with Light and it becomes Gold Dragon Magic.

Resisting Combined Magic

When resisting combined magic, the spell will focus its power on the resistance level that is lowest. For example, if you are hit with dragon magic and your resistance to fire is 60%, but your resistance to earth is only 10%, you will take 90% of the magic’s damage.
Elements On Weapons
When your weapon has been graced with an element, it will enable you to inflict magical damage on your opponent with every successful attack. This elemental damage cannot be blocked by standard armor, but will be reduced depending on the strength of the target's resistance level. For example: a weapon that has a 50% fire element bonus will do an additional 1 point of fire damage for every 2 points of physical damage. Let's say your weapon hit for 20 damage, you would cause an extra 10 in fire damage. If your opponent's fire resist is 30%, then they would block 3 points of fire damage, taking 7.
Elements On Armor
Normal armor only has the ability to block physical damage. However, Enchanted Armor can reduce magical damage, as well as physical. When Elemental armor is attacked it will absorb the percentage of elemental damage only if the armor itself blocks. Thus, an armor with a 50% chance to block and a 20% resist to fire will only end up resisting an average of 10% of fire damage.
